In Gambellara, in the province of Vicenza, at the foot of the Lessini Mountains, the Menti family has been growing Garganega for generations on soils of volcanic origin.
Their approach to winemaking comes from a clear belief: before being winegrowers, they are custodians of the land. In the vineyard, they work according to biodynamic principles, observing natural balances and respecting biodiversity and the rhythms of the seasons. Every intervention is carefully considered, without looking for shortcuts and with the aim of preserving everything that lives around the vine.
The same philosophy continues in the cellar, where the goal is to guide rather than control. Fermentations are spontaneous and entrusted to indigenous yeasts, while intervention is kept to the minimum necessary. There is no attempt to impose a predetermined style or to make wines that are always identical from one vintage to the next: each harvest is allowed to express its own characteristics, the territory and the personality of the wine.
Garganega is the common thread running through Menti’s work, a grape variety that the family continues to explore through different winemaking approaches, from more immediate wines to those capable of evolving over time.
For Menti, wine is not simply the result of a harvest, but the expression of a journey shaped by choices, responsibility and respect. A journey that looks to the future without forgetting its roots, with the aim of leaving the land in better condition than they found it.
Menti shares the vision of Evoluzione Naturale. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover their story and taste their wines in Grottaglie.
