Valchyara was founded in 2017 to restore historic Erbaluce and Nebbiolo vineyards in Valchiusella. Vines have grown here since the late nineteenth century, on steep terraces supported by dry-stone walls.
This small family farm tends around 2.3 hectares, growing Nebbiolo, Riesling and Erbaluce alongside lesser-known traditional Piedmontese varieties. Its approach draws on biodynamic principles, with soil vitality, biodiversity and respect for the environment at its heart.
Woodland, moraine lakes, streams and wildlife surround the vineyards. Intervention is kept to a minimum so that the grapes can express the distinctive character of Valchiusella, the family’s home and inspiration.
The same approach continues in the cellar: simple practices, spontaneous fermentation and unhurried maturation. Valchyara shares the values of Evoluzione Naturale, making wines shaped by place and season.
