Señorío de Librares is based in El Villar de Arnedo, in Rioja Baja. Clara and Patricia Espinosa continue a family tradition spanning more than 150 years: their great-great-grandfather Pedro Espinosa won a gold medal for his wines at the 1878 Paris Universal Exhibition.
The sisters follow an independent path, making wine only from their own grapes and concentrating on native varieties. Sustainable practices inspired by organic farming guide vineyards planted with Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuelo for reds, and Viura and Tempranillo Blanco for whites.
Cellar work involves minimal intervention. Indigenous yeasts drive spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel and concrete, while longer maturation takes place in French and American oak, both new and used. Packaging also follows environmental principles, using recycled paper.
The range includes elegant whites, lively rosés and reds ranging from fresh to structured, with an emphasis on value. Each bottle brings together tradition, local identity and a modern sensibility.
Señorío de Librares and Callmewine, which presents the estate in Italy, share the vision of Evoluzione Naturale, offering wines rooted in their region and attentive to sustainability.
