A former microbiologist with years of experience at an agricultural and food research centre, Raffaello decided in the late 1990s to change his life completely. He left his job to become a farmer, driven by a clear conviction: protect the soil, plants and people, work with products that do not harm the environment, and make natural wine.
He restores old vineyards and historic native varieties to preserve a heritage that is cultural as well as genetic. His wines are full of life, changing from vintage to vintage and often from bottle to bottle. After all, nature is unpredictable and beyond our control—and fortunately so.
