Between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso massif, in the hills of Teramo, Podere San Biagio combines regenerative farming with artisanal winemaking.
The Fiore family established the farm in the 1980s, initially growing ancient grains, vegetables and olives organically. Building the cellar in 2000 marked the beginning of an independent wine project, now led by Jacopo Fiore, who carries the family tradition forward with a contemporary outlook and deep respect for the land.
The vineyards lie at around 300 metres on clay and limestone soils. Sea breezes meet mountain air, creating conditions suited to an approach that keeps intervention low. Fermentation is spontaneous, without selected yeasts; sulphur dioxide is kept to a minimum and no other chemical additives are used. Wines mature slowly in stainless steel, wood or fibreglass, according to their character.
From tending the vines to working in the cellar, the aim is to make wines that speak honestly of their origin, the seasons and daily farm work. Craftsmanship, care for the farm ecosystem and respect for natural rhythms guide every stage.
Podere San Biagio shares the values of Evoluzione Naturale, offering a taste of an Abruzzo where the land remains at the centre of the story.
