Pantun is a small organic family farm run without outside labour. Since 2000 the family has made wine and olive oil, managing its land with attention to biodiversity and the people who enjoy its products. Visitors are welcome to discover its farming methods and way of life.
The estate lies among Mottola’s hills, near Taranto, at 360 metres, beside the ravine park. Its land occupies both sides of a valley looking south towards the Ionian Sea and north towards the Bari Murgia, in a landscape of ravines, rock churches and ancient settlements.
Mediterranean vegetation includes mastic, cistus, myrtle and strawberry-tree shrubs, alongside Macedonian oak, holm oak and carob. Red, stony soils combine clay and limestone.
