Manciaciumi is a winery on the southern slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, a landscape shaped by its distinctive volcanic terroir. It was founded by two friends who returned to their Sicilian roots after years of travelling. Biodynamic practices and minimal-intervention winemaking seek to express the volcanic soils in wines with a character distinct from those of the mountain’s better-known northern slopes.
Fermentation is spontaneous, using ambient yeasts, with little or no added sulphites. The vineyards, described as lying between Adrano and Linguaglossa, are planted with local varieties including Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Alicante. The wines are vibrant, deep and full of character, telling the story of their remarkable surroundings.
The estate farms organically and makes artisanal, vegan wines, with particular attention to quality and respect for the environment.
Manciaciumi shares the vision of Evoluzione Naturale. Come and discover their stories and wines.
