Le Terrazze del Canto began in 2021 to restore neglected hillside land at Mapello, near Bergamo. Terraced vineyards lie at 200–400 metres and include vines aged sixty to seventy years. Varieties include Incrocio Terzi, Franconia, Marzemino, Rebo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Moscato Giallo.
Regenerative farming guides the project. The growers aim to reduce copper and sulphur almost entirely, using beneficial bacteria, plant decoctions and macerates, and compost made from farm materials. Organic certification dates from July 2024.
Cellar experiments include maceration and maturation in terracotta amphorae, followed by well-used barriques, to express depth and character without strong new-oak influence.
Tuliprendi, a companion flower project, covers around 2,000 square metres with seasonal blooms from March to November. Organic-regenerative and agrohomeopathic practices form part of the growers’ chosen approach to balance and diversity.
