Three close friends founded L’Acino in 2006, determined to rediscover an almost forgotten side of Calabrian wine. Their work helped preserve Mantonico Pinto, an endangered white variety whose elegance brought the estate wider recognition.
The vineyards lie on the Pollino, where nourishing red clay soils and a Mediterranean microclimate have long supported vines. History and landscape shape wines rich in contrasts.
Dino Briglio, one of the founders, now leads the artisanal estate. He continues its focus on native varieties while exploring biodynamics as a lasting way of living and working.
A respectful, natural relationship with cultivated land remains fundamental. Through persistence and passion, Dino has brought national attention to wines with a strong personality that remain faithful to local traditions and terroir.
