Il Cancelliere is a family-run wine estate in Irpinia, founded by Soccorso Romano and named after his nickname. It grew from a desire to bring out the best of the local land by rediscovering traditional farming practices. The cellar is housed in the Romano family’s farmhouse, surrounded by Aglianico vineyards. Their grapes become artisan wines that draw on the farming knowledge Soccorso learned from his father and keeps alive with every vintage.
Together with Cantina dell’Angelo and Cantina del Barone, Il Cancelliere belongs to the producers’ association V.i.T.I. — Vignaioli in Terra d’Irpinia.
