Flavia Rebellious Wines is the natural-wine project of young oenologist Flavia Rallo, the fourth generation of Marsala’s Rallo winegrowing family.
Her wines challenge conventional expectations, expressing the grapes and their origins with individuality. Cloudy and kept on their lees, they are neither fined nor filtered, with vivid aromas and a character of their own.
Flavia’s choice of organic cultivation, no added winemaking additives and very low sulphite levels reflects her concern for the planet and the people and animals who inhabit it. For her, sustainability begins with minimal intervention throughout the vineyard and cellar.
She chooses native varieties, reduces or eliminates pesticide treatments where possible and works to increase organic matter in the soil. The aim is to avoid yields that place excessive stress on the vines and to make natural wines expressing the region’s traditions, flavours and aromas while supporting environmental care and rural development.
