Emilia Pennac’s story began in 1972 when Silvia Giani’s father planted half a hectare to make wine for himself and friends. Passion grew into work, and the vineyard became central to family life. Silvia remembers childhood through the taste of must, the sound of pruning shears and the scent of vine flowers.
After working elsewhere, she returned in 2010 to turn her own passion into a livelihood, expanding the estate from four to twelve hectares. Her partner Jacopo believed in adding a cellar to a farm previously devoted to growing grapes.
His family experience and their shared travels brought learning and experimentation. ‘Today our biodiverse farm, Emilia Pennac, is a reality. There is still a long road ahead and so much to learn—and that brings us motivation and happiness.’
