Bohorina Cider House is a family project at Kiseljak, near Sarajevo, at 500 metres. Since 2017 the family has tended an orchard of old local apple varieties and made artisanal ciders reflecting Bosnia’s mountain landscape.
A holistic approach keeps interventions low. Grass is cut only once a year; homemade compost and preparations of comfrey, nettle and horsetail support orchard care.
In the cellar, indigenous yeasts drive spontaneous fermentation, time and gravity allow natural settling, and sulphites are minimal or absent as additions. Ciders are made by both the Charmat and ancestral methods.
Bohorina Cider House shares the vision of Evoluzione Naturale. Come and discover its stories and ciders.
