Bodega Felipe Cerro Audije is a small farm in Cañamero, in the province of Cáceres, Spain. Its two hectares of vines are planted mainly with native Alarije, alongside some Pedro Ximénez and Tempranillo.
Woodland and Mediterranean scrub surround the organic vineyard, keeping it separate from neighbouring agricultural treatments. The level site lies at 600 metres beside a mountain range. Winters are cold and rainy, while summers are hot and sunny.
The cellar stands beside the vineyard, allowing winemaking to begin as soon as hand harvesting is complete. Healthy, ripe grapes become approximately 2,000 litres of wine a year, continuing the Felipe family’s tradition.
