After a spell living in the city, Giovanni returned home to the hills of Sannio, near Benevento, to establish Azienda Agricola Giovanni Iannucci. The pull of the land was too strong to resist, as was his family’s longstanding passion for growing grapes, making good wine and sharing it with others.
His challenge was to turn that inheritance into a livelihood. Committed to clean, responsible farming inspired by the lessons of the past, Giovanni focused on just two native grape varieties. They provide the basis for exploring environmentally friendly growing techniques and making artisan wines rooted in the local tradition.
