Agricola Virà covers approximately six hectares at Contrada Suro, between Cefalù and Gratteri in Sicily’s Madonie park. Native Catarratto and Nero d’Avola grow alongside Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Elevation and exposure help the fruit balance sugar and acidity. Vines are trellised and Guyot-pruned on medium-textured, clay-leaning soils managed organically. Mixed grasses, brassicas and legumes are sown and incorporated as green manure to nourish the ground.
Grapes are usually hand-picked in early September. Fermentation relies on yeasts naturally present on the skins, without winemaking products.
Agricola Virà shares the vision of Evoluzione Naturale. Come and discover their stories and wines.
