In 2013 the Moschetti family began working their family vineyard in Taurasi, in the province of Avellino. Studies in biology, agroecology and spontaneous fermentation shaped an approach based on ecological vineyard management and respect for the grapes in the cellar. The family farms organically; the original estate profile described certification as in progress.
In 2016 they took on a Piedirosso vineyard in Lettere, near Naples, with the idea of bringing together Aglianico’s austerity and Piedirosso’s immediate aromatic appeal. The result was 2Vite: two vineyards, two places and two grape varieties, coming together in wines that evoke emotion.
Production follows the Me.MO protocol, named after Mercurio and Moschetti. This approach helps growers improve the environmental quality of the vineyard ecosystem by increasing biodiversity and turning farmland into areas of high ecological value. Through a series of agroecological improvements, growers create sustainable, diverse environments capable of producing healthy, high-quality grapes.
Grapes with balanced chemical, physical and biological characteristics are the foundation for carefully guided spontaneous fermentation and minimal use of winemaking aids.
